Remember Rendevous

Original art by Susan Feniak  acrylic on canvas 18” x “36
Asking $175.00 unframed
Summer and remembering that weekend we spent buddied up at Rendevous last year.  Rendevous is one of the many provincial parks we have on Shuswap Lake and is one of our favourite places to anchor.  We try to get to this particular little bay at least once a season.  It boasts a sandy beach barely visible behind our three boats and is a lovely quiet spot as it has water access only.  One of the few protected spots suitable for worry free anchoring on the lake.  That being said the odd storm has been known to disturb our quietude.

This painting is actually a re-visit of one I did when I first started painting several years ago.  I think I wanted to prove to myself that I have been improving.  Perhaps the original version should be posted here for comparison sake but I am not that brave!

Susan I like this one and yes it would be interesting to see the different. Love the water and the boats reflections. I am sure both are very good, but I wonder what would be the different if there is one from your earlier days. I have no doubt we all get better with time and practice.

Thank you doronart. I may get brave enough to share my earlier version of this painting sometime but not just yet. Maybe I will end up showing three versions at some point!

In your time, as it will be interesting to see the development of an artist. And don’t worry as we all had to start somewhere and we not producing ourselves master pieces dailly.

Great job. I love the reflections of the boat in the water, it adds depth and weight to the boats.

Is there a way for me to follow your blog? I have your blog on my favorites but would like to be notified when you put something new on. Is that possible?
