Doodles from Hermits Bay

We have been busy boating and working around the house and garden so I haven’t had time to paint at my easel. There is a painting in progress sitting there waiting. Hopefully I can get back to it soon. The sketches bellow are just for fun. We were anchored this past weekend and for the first time ever while boating I got brave and whipped out my sketch book in front of other people!!! Am I getting braver or is that confidence?

Good work Susan. Sketching is exactly that. The fun side of art without the pressure. So lovely to see you sketching with people around you. They actually wish they could do it too.

I think it is a little bit of both bravery and confidence, Susan. I need to follow your example and spend some time drawing. I always draw before I paint but small drawings of this nature would be a plus. I especially like the leaning tree.

Thanks and yes I did use my pencils in the first one. At first it was just plain graphix woodless HB pencil but then I thought it needed color. All I had with me were the water color pencils. Guess it works.
