A memory from my summer break. Its a channel marker near where we spend a lot of our time on summer weekends. I was so impressed by something Artscott.net.wordpress.com posted on his blog the other day that I wanted to try it myself. He used a Q-tip of all things to blend charcoal and water color pencil. So here is my first attempt using a Q-tip. I was rather pleased with the result. I don’t use water colors very often because I seem to bungle them. Water color pencils have made my life easier. But a Q-tip? Who knew? This is awesome!! Thank you Scott!
I like the wee “castle” sketch, susan. Yay for experimenting!
