The Princess

She was sitting there amongst the luxury yachts.  An old girl.  In boating world one could say she has lovely lines and character.  Her name, Placencia Princess.  These days she is relegated to tourism and sight seeing cruises in Belize.  I can’t help but wonder about her past life.  I thought her worthy of some attention so I painted this for her.  One Princess to another. 🙂

This painting has been on and off my easel since I got home from Belize last winter.  Until now life got in the way of finishing it.  It was a challenge but here she is in all her splendid glory.

    I love your story about her. She must have seen a lot. Your painting is wonderful. I like the red and the shapes really work in this painting.
