National Pet Day #doodlewashaday

April  11 2016  Time for another quick doodlewash.  It is National Pet Day.  Over the years we have had several pets, all dogs.  Since our dog of 15 years died we haven’t had the heart to get another one.   To appease me we put gold fish in our pond and they have been a good source of entertainment.  This one we named Spot.  But lets face it, one can’t hold and cuddle gold fish nor take them for long enjoyable walks.  One day there will be another dog but until then……

My thanks to Charlie O’Shields at doodlewash.wordpress.com  for allowing us to help him celebrate his birth month, all month long!!

I am so sorry about the loss of your beloved dog. You will have another love when the time is right should you desire it. Spot is cute as fish go. I had a fish for awhile last year named Violet. She was a Betta but sadly got sick and died after only having her for six months. Love your doodle wash sketch!

Fish are so meditative to watch. I love your “Spot!” I could say, you are spot on today… lol! Sorry about the loss of your dog. When you are ready, you will make a new furry friend. 🙂

  5. Spot looks gorgeous, Susan! Yep, we were thinking of adopting a mini pig as a pet after we lost our dog last year but the house is still …hers.

Being allergic meant that we had betta fish for my daughter. They do have personalities I think. But a dog is something special. So hard to lose such a loyal friend. (K)

  7. I know what it’s like to lose a dog… my last dog was 16. It was year before I could think about “going through that” again, but I am SO happy I got another dog to love. 😉 That said… Spot is actually super cute and although I don’t think he’d appreciate a cuddle… I still kind of want to cuddle him! 😊Wonderful doodlewash, Susan! 😍

It is so hard to replace a beloved dog, but once you do, it is amazing how quickly you fall in love and find happiness again. Your goldfish is lovely 🙂
