When I was a kid, rootbeer floats were such a treat! Especially from A&W! Happy to hear you are ready for boating season, Susan! Sounds fun! 😃⛵️🌞

  4. I’m so in awe of you that you know how to live on a boat and navigate in the water! Kayaking is all I’ve done…but I own an oil lamp that I purchased from a boat supply store that used to be in my neighborhood. 🙂 Gaul! How I wish I had the foresight to take photos of that shop and things in it! It’s long gone now.

That oil lamp is the one I use when we have power outages. It was horribly expensive at the time I bought it…it was just over $100 with tax. He-Man was livid that I spent so much on an oil lamp then, but has since changed his tune since it’s been so useful, and reliable when we’ve power outages.

Will you be on a lake or at sea?

Thanks. We live near a lake called Shuswap in British Columbia Canada. About a five hour drive north east of Vancouver. It’s a good size Lake but easily navigated because we have lived and boated here forever. These days LED lanterns make life easier then oil lanterns but lack the romance. All come in handy when power is lacking.
