While hubby naps I get time for art. Here I have sketched our girl (ours is the black and white one) and one of the boats tied up across from us at the marina. Lots of challenging angles and curves to tackle not to mention perspective. Hope you are enjoying your weekend. Cheers Susan

Wow, Susan they are brilliant. It looks all to mathematical for me to try. Well done.

Thanks Catherine. Not easy to draw but not mathematical at all. More curvy like us girls. 🙂

This are wonderful sketches Susan! When it comes to boats I am completely lost in all this strange curves, yours look like real boats (hope you know what I’m trying to say):-)

Sounds wonderful, I have a very wonderful image of you painting by the waterside. Great job, I usually avoid painting boats despite living in a sailing populated area, they are hard for me.

Thank you Rebecca! There are a lot of lines and the perspective is tricky but it’s good practise for me.

You did great, I think it’s the lines that get me, plus no hair on boats, I have tried a couple of times, my yachts are very basic, so I can definitely say you did greAT

Thanks again Rebecca! I should practice hair!! 🙂

It’s easy, just pretend when painting that you are striking the animal 😉

Lol, stroking…….No striking of animals ( iPad keyboard is so small I keep hitting the wrong keys)

I thought that is what you meant. Lol. Striking was just mean. 🙂

Super nice boat paintings! Like Laura said, boats aren’t easy. They have so many lines and angles.

Hey Teresa would like to comment on your blogs and stellar art but can’t. Have you turned comments off? Just wondering.

Susan, yeah, I find that I have a compulsive need to reply to all comments but I just don’t have time these days to even comment on blogs I visit, let alone reply to comments on my blog posts on top of that. If I hope to be more productive in my writing and illustration (and get another agent…mine quit the biz last year), I need to prioritize where I spend my time and something has to give. :} If and when I get an agent again, and once I finish 3 novels I’m working on, I might get back into the spending more time on blogs.
