Only time for another quick sketch again today. These brightly colored billed birds have always intrigued me. Until I started looking at photo’s of them I didn’t realize what doleful eyes they had. Great painting! There are no puffins where I live and so wanted to see one while visiting Maine a few years ago, but they were all hiding, I guess. Yours is terrific 🙂

He is gorgeous, you are quite right about the eyes, sometimes painting really makes you take a close look at animals and study minute detail
