“Lighthouse” #WorldWatercolorGroup

img_20160907_113213“Lighthouse” #WorldWatercolorGroup   The prompt for September 7.  This is Stoer Lighthouse.  Situated on Stoer Head north of Lochinver in North West Scotland.  Dating from the 1870’s.  I painted this from a photo I took while at the lighthouse about ten years ago.  It was a blustery day and the clouds lay wet and low over the sea.  The views and surrounding coastline are spectacular.

A wonderful painting of an interesting lighthouse. Love the way it stands alone watching the sea for danger.

Gorgeous, Susan! A very different lighthouse than I would expect. Kind of a castle light house 🙂
