20161006_151848“The Mossy Retreat” original art by Susan Feniak.  Acrylic on 11″ x 14″ canvas panel.  Last summer while taking a walk on one of my favourite trails I came across this little fellow.  He scampered down the tree and scurried into and then out of this moss covered ruin of a tree.  All the while he scolded me.  I had intruded into his territory.  I thought his home looked rather interesting so I have endeavored to duplicate it here.  Of course he was rather cute too.  Cheers!  PEACE

    I really like this one Susan! The composition is terrific… you almost don’t see the chimpmunk and your eye travels around the canvas to all of the wonderful woodland texture you have created. Very nice! ~Rita

    Nice composition, Susan. I like the close-up of the chipmunk balanced with the stand of trees way in the background that gives this painting space and depth.
