This one is drying on my easel. I wanted to do something a bit different. It certainly was fun to do. Who knew a rainy city night could be fun? I had the idea rumbling around in my imagination for awhile. Putting it all on canvas was the next trick. Hope you like it. Acrylic on 20″ x 20″ x 1.5″ thick canvas painted on all sides. Very atmospheric! I like the way you portrayed the light and the reflections on the wet street.

Thank you. I am really pleased you noticed how atmospheric this one is. The play with reflections and the wet street were great fun splashing paint about. Like playing in a puddle.

Well, you did a lovely job. Did you use a reference for this?
Water, reflections, light (especially at night) – these are all things I need to work on myself. I’m also enjoying the light on the umbrellas in this one.
