“Catharsis”

“Catharsis”
WIP Catharsis

Finished and drying on my easel, “Catharsis”. Purple Cone Flower or Echinacea. Although small this painting is symbolic to me on many levels. I am sending positive thoughts and healing vibes to my family in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

After weeks of drought, wildfires, ash and smoke we finally got rain. It was pure joy to go outside this morning and take in big breathes of fresher cleaner air. The fires are far from being extinguished or even under control but it is a reprieve. Thank you to the firefighters, helicopter and waterbomber crews, volunteers and behind the scene workers like mechanics that keep everything running. We are grateful to all who have been working endless hours trying to keep us safe.

Artist Susan Feniak. Acrylic on 10″ x 10″ gallery canvas. If you are interested in this painting or any of my art please email sfeniakart@gmail.com

  1. Very beautiful painting of flowers, these wildflowers remind me a lot of Purple Cone Flowers which grow in Ontario.
