The sky fascinates me. I could watch it and the ocean forever. This time my imagination has tried to capture a storm building over the ocean with the sun setting behind the thunderheads. This provides a plethora of color and light effects. Not to mention the layers of cloud and reflections. This one was fun to paint. I let my imagination go and that is always enjoyable.
Although this is my imagination and original work, I was influenced to create this scene by an article in the March 2022 PleinAir Magazine. The article is about artist Lisa Grossman titled Adventures In Skywatching.
Artist Susan Feniak. Golden Artist Acrylics on a 12″ x 24″ gallery canvas. Asking $175 cdn plus shipping. If you are interested in my art please email sfeniakart@gmail.com
I like the subtle colours in this one, Susan, and the bright edges to the clouds. With colours and cloud formations like that, I too could watch the sky for hours.

Thank you Tom. Skywatching is a very affordable passtime. It’s amazing what one sees.
