For lack of a better title I am calling this painting “Looking Up”. I go for a walk everyday and often find myself looking up. This scene is inspired by the nature trails in and around Sicamous British Columbia. Our summer home turf. I highly recommend the trails. Whatever you are doing today take the time to go for a walk and remember to stop and look up. It’s truly fascinating.
The first 3 photos are of my process and the last photo is the final painting. The end result for Looking Up!
Artist Susan Feniak. Golden Artist Acrylics on a 24″ x 24″ deep gallery canvas. Painted on all sides. Asking $350 cdn plus shipping.
I enjoyed the work in progress pics you posted on FB….. Nice to see the completed painting. I do like it very much but not what I visualised from those early stage images…. just shows creative an artist can be. ππ

Thank you David. I can’t help but wonder what you visualized in the earlier stages.

The image with the orange /yellow background morphs into a tree skyscape… at that stage I thought of a dahlia head. π

That’s a cool view! I look up too whenever I’m in a grove of trees.

Thanks. I am pleased to know someone else that looks up to the tree tops and sky beyond.
