More about Susan
“Everything happens for a reason, live it, love it, learn from it! Make your smile change the world, but don’t let the world change your smile”
ARTIST STATEMENT
I paint because I love to. That makes for a rather short artist statement but it is my truth.
I paint what I see, what surrounds me. I use my vivid imagination to create animals and birds that smile at you and whimsical nautical scenes that always include a boat or two. On occasion a landscape or flowers will show up on my canvas. Whatever mood hits and wherever my imagination takes me.
I am an Active member of the prestigious Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA)
I am a self taught artist who has persevered to become better at what I enjoy doing most. My tools are basic, watercolors and ink or acrylics and canvas or paper.
If my art makes you smile then I have succeeded in my quest to make this world a brighter happier place.

Congratulations for being featured on Doodlewash! 🙂 Love Shuswap – went camping there a couple of summers when I was a kid.

Thank you Sandy. I am fortunate to live where people like to vacation. That Doodlewash feature was awhile ago now.

Hi Susan! I follow you on Instagram so I thought I’d drop by. I’m also a mum and grandmother who last took an art class in the 70s with a husband of 40 years, only I live in Greece! Painting makes me happy, and now, painting with the minions occasionally, even happier! 🌺Marina

Thank you so much Deb. Pretty sure that old art teacher as long since retired. But I wouldn’t mind a word with her myself.
