World Watercolor Month 2020 Day 30

World Watercolor Month Day 30 prompt “Pose”. Yes I painted another ballerina. Extraordinary considering I know nothing about them except I am pretty sure that they pose. I do know they are elegant and graceful so I hope to have captured that here. This ballerina is a birthday card for a dear friend. “Pose” is QoR watercolors and ink on Strathmore card stock. World Watercolor Month 2020 Day 29

World Watercolor Month Day 29 prompt “Yesterday”. This prompt got me thinking about the Beatles song Yesterday. That led me to think about more Beatles songs. For example Yellow Submarine. Which then reminded me that Yellow Submarine was my high school graduation theme song a lot of yesterday’s ago. Dots connected for Yesterday! This one was a lot of fun to create and makes me smile. It SOLD right away! My submarine was created with QoR watercolors and Pixma Micron ink on Strathmore card stock. April  30th Could be several things but I am making it, National Thank Charlie Day for letting us take part in his April long #doodlewashaday.  Visit Charlie O’Shields  at doodlewash.wordpress.com  Thank you Charlie!!

I have attached some of my doodlewashes for the month, a collage if you will.  All of my #doodlewashaday were done in my Opus Essentials Sketchbook which really didn’t take too kindly to my slopping water about.  I also used Neocolor Caran D’Ache and Gallery Mungyo Watercolor Crayons, along with Holdbein Artists Water Colors, Pigma Micron Archival Ink along with my Pilot Drawing Pens.  Neither of which like the watercolor crayons but I persisted.  I had a blast and thoroughly enjoyed myself.  I hope you enjoyed the ride.  Cheers Susan Feniak

National Arbour Day #doodlewashaday

April 29 or the last Friday of April is National Arbour Day.  Plant a tree!  Someday it could become big enough to hang a tire swing from.  Oh the hours of fun that would be.  Cheers, Susan

#doodlewashaday was drawn and painted on Opus Essentials Sketchbook with Holdbein Artist Watercolor and Neocolor Caran D’Ache water soluble crayons by Susan Feniak

National BraveHearts Day #doodlewashaday

April 28th is a day that we need to remember.  National BraveHearts Day.  This day is to honor the bravery of the children and their families who are coping with pediatric cancer.  As well as their caregivers.  No child should ever have to face any illness especially not cancer.   My doodlewash today means a lot to me.  This is my teddy bear, Fitsimmons.  He kept me company while I was sick with cancer.  If I could give every child in hospital a teddy bear I would.  You see Teddy bears are very special.  They keep you company when you are all alone and very sick.  They are the best listeners.  You can tell them anything, even secrets, and they won’t tell another living soul.  They hug you and love you when you need it the most.  Because it is hard to be brave.  Fitsimmons is holding a heart full of love for every Braveheart today.  Please take a moment to remember April 28th and what it means to a sick child.  Thank you.

National Tell A Story Day #doodlewashaday

April 27th  Today is National Tell A Story Day.  I could have chosen several other options among them Prime Rib Day.  Because I am not much of a story teller I thought I would bring your attention to reading a story instead.  If you read a book aloud doesn’t it then become telling a story?  I think so.   Therefore I have doodlewashed  the possible jacket cover for a book that was a particular childhood favourite of mine, “The Secret Garden”.  Which knowing my parents was read aloud to me as a child, ergo telling a story.  I later read “The Secret Garden” several more times myself.  Anyway I do hope you get to tell a story today.  Tell one to a child.  Believe me they will remember it.

#doodlewashaday  presented to you by Susan Feniak  Holbein Artists’ Water Color on Opus Essentials Sketchbook
