Looking Up

For lack of a better title I am calling this painting “Looking Up”. I go for a walk everyday and often find myself looking up. This scene is inspired by the nature trails in and around Sicamous British Columbia. Our summer home turf. I highly recommend the trails. Whatever you are doing today take the time to go for a walk and remember to stop and look up. It’s truly fascinating.

The first 3 photos are of my process and the last photo is the final painting. The end result for Looking Up!

Artist Susan Feniak. Golden Artist Acrylics on a 24″ x 24″ deep gallery canvas. Painted on all sides. Asking $350 cdn plus shipping.

“Hyde to Mara”

Hyde to Mara

My latest painting “Hyde to Mara”, is DONE! This painting is based on a photo I took last summer. Lunch at the Hyde Mountain golf course includes this idyllic view of Mara Lake in beautiful British Columbia. Playing golf is not for me but I will gladly enjoy lunch at the golf course just to partake of the views from many vantage points. I have been wanting to capture this particular view on canvas for some time. I hope I have done it some justice.

Artist Susan Feniak. Acrylic on a 24″ x 24″ gallery canvas. Asking $375 plus shipping. Painted on all sides so doesn’t need a frame. This is original art. I do not make prints. If you are interested please email sfeniakart@gmail.com

New art in progress…

“Hyde to Mara”. Time for a change from flowers and paint a local scene. Based on a photo I took last summer after the wild fire smoke cleared. The view from Hyde Mountain golf course looking out over Mara Lake in beautiful British Columbia. Remember that this is a work in progress. This is an inspiring view for anyone to enjoy.

Two for…

Peek-a-boo
Name or title?

I have two fresh watercolor and ink paintings for you today. Now that the weather has warmed up a wee bit we are spending more time on our boat. There is no internet on our boat or dock. You may not see as much of my art or get many comments or likes from me for the next while. It can’t be helped. I will do what I can when I can. In the meantime here is Zelda Zebra who has been busy since we last saw her. The pond is my imagination at play, an idyllic scene. Both pieces are watercolor, ink and gouache on 11″ x 14″ Fabriano paper. Artist Susan Feniak

“High Water Sweepers”

High Water Sweepers

High Water Sweepers. Artist Susan Feniak. Golden Artist Acrylics on a 18″ x 24″ gallery canvas. Purely from my imagination this scene could easily be along the Eagle River. The river is situated in the Shuswap Lake area of British Columbia. Sweepers are a danger to all river traffic. In particular kayaker’s and stand up paddle boarders. A person can easily get entangled in the hidden snares and snags of branches and roots. Sweepers are prevalent particularly this time of year during run off season and high water levels. Or like on a rainy day like today. As for my painting I am hoping it leaves the viewer relaxed and the natural beauty of the surroundings enjoyed. Cheers Susan Feniak. This painting is framed and at Three Buoys Marina in Sicamous. Asking $275. Oh and I do hope you notice the wild roses are in bloom.

Two Days Left

There are only two days left to purchase one of my paintings at Gallery One Fifty in Sicamous. The gallery will be closing for the season on September 15th. Cheers Susan Feniak.

Out Picking Wild Flowers

Such a long title for a small painting. Artist Susan Feniak. Golden Artist Colors on 8″ × 8″ canvas board. Found these nice little canvases in a plain wood frame. I have painted the frame the same color as the bike. Wishing I had bought more of them. Happy Monday!

Donated

I have donated my painting “When All The Leaves Are Gone” to the Eagle Valley Arts Council who will use it as a fund raiser. I hope someone will offer a high bid and give it a good home.
