Lambing Time

Surely lambing time is a perfect sign of spring. This little darling is a quick sketch or doodlewash to celebrate yet another spring time event. Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolor and ink on Opus Finest paper. Happy spring!

More World Watercolor Month 2018

More World Watercolor Month

World Watercolor Month continues along with my lack of internet while on our houseboat. Here is another sampling of what I have been creating for the month. So far I haven’t missed a day. Cheers Susan.

Waiting for the mail

Waiting for the mail. Artist Susan Feniak. Koi and Windsor Newton Cotman Water Colours on my new Opus Finest Paper.

Bits and Pieces

My painting “Give Up?” Has gone to a new home. The owners are birdie lovers. Yesterday I was volunteering at Gallery One Fifty in Sicamous. Being a soggy wintery day not too many people were out and about. I had time to paint a panda family in celebration of our impending family day holiday weekend. Time dragged on to a quick painting of a a hippo. She was gazing at me from the Telus wall calendar. The star of January 2018.

With all that I will say I am gone on hiatus for a wee while. Enjoy the rest of your winter. Spring will come, it always does. Cheers Susan

Feverfew

I was trying for a delicate touch with these rather prolific garden flowers. Given half a chance Feverfew will take over a flower bed. Since they are pretty and make an excellent cut flower it’s not such a bad thing if you let them take over. Artist Susan Feniak.  Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors on Opus Finest Paper.  The last page of this sketch book. Perfect timing, new year, new book.
