For lack of a better title I am calling this painting “Looking Up”. I go for a walk everyday and often find myself looking up. This scene is inspired by the nature trails in and around Sicamous British Columbia. Our summer home turf. I highly recommend the trails. Whatever you are doing today take the time to go for a walk and remember to stop and look up. It’s truly fascinating.

The first 3 photos are of my process and the last photo is the final painting. The end result for Looking Up!

Raven Trail Birch is on display at Gallery One Fifty in Sicamous. Based on a photo taken by me. I enjoy my walks on Raven Trail. The trail meanders along the foreshore of Salmon Arm Bay BC.
