Here are a few of the cards that I have created lately. Cards seem to be the only art that I am interested in creating these days. I am not sure if I should be worried about that or not. But at least I am doing something creative. I suppose there has been a lot on my plate lately. I am positive that I will have the urge to splash paint on a bigger scale soon. I am still keeping busy creating my “one of a kind” greeting cards. Keeping things simple. Other than puttindg a coat of gesso on a 24″ x 24″ canvas I haven’t spent any time at my easel. Not since coming home from Mexico. I haven’t felt like it. I thought that I had lots of inspiration and was ready to get busy but as soon as I stand at my easel all is lost. Perhaps I have a bit of a block happening? On the other hand I am able to create these cards. A veritable plethora of them. I am having fun with them, they make me smile. That is sufficient, for now.

Belated happy Easter! Theodore the Easter dog appeared on one of my card creations the otherday. I meant to post Theodore on all my social media sites but somehow missed my website. I hope he makes you smile. Another tortuga made an appearance and a frog enjoying the shelter provided by a magnolia. Can you tell I am still having fun creating my “one of a kind” greeting cards?

Having fun creating cards. Especially the dogs! The dogs are loosely based on works by artist Catherine Rayner. Most of my cards will eventually go to Rikki Lou Who’s Gift Emporium downtown Salmon Arm on Alexander St. and will be available for sale there. Upon arriving home from Mexico I discovered that many of my cards for sale at Rikki Lou Who’s Gift Emporium sold! How wonderful! Many thanks to those of you that have bought my cards and supported local business.

I am fortunate to have my art. Since I started painting in 2009 it’s always gotten me through the tuff times in life. This week I found solace once again. Like taking small steps everyday to move on I started with small things like cards. I then moved onto a bigger canvas. I will share photos of that when I am done but I am sharing photos of the four cards I made. The cards are now available at Rikki Lou Who’s Gift Emporium downtown Salmon Arm on Alexander St.
