Show Off!

For Draw a bird day I present the Show Off! I haven’t contributed to draw a bird day for an age so thought I would this month. The 8th day of every month is for draw a bird day. Hope you have an unruffled kind of day. Cheers Susan. QoR watercolor and ink on Fabriano 5.5″ x 8.5″ paper.

“Sam”

Sam looks like he is a youngster just waiting for someone to play with him. I bet he is full of energy. Maybe when he grows up he will make an awesome sheep dog. I do enjoy my dog creations. Happy Wednesday everyone. QoR watercolor and ink on a Hahnemuhle postcard.

Sea Holly

I call this plant Sea Holly. I know it has a Latin name and there are several species. It reminds me of thistles that I have painted on several occasions. I love all the pointy jagged bits. Fun to paint and that is the main part of my adventures in art. Artist Susan Feniak. Daniel Smith watercolor and ink on 9″ x 12″ Strathmore Vision paper.

Happy Place

Play time is art time. A happy place is at the beach. Any beach. The happiest place of all? On our boat. I hope to be spending time on our happiest place of all soon. In the meantime I will paint a beach, any beach will do. Smiling. Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolor and ink 8″ x 10″ Fabriano paper.

Trouble?

Trouble? It’s no secret I love dogs. Apparently I also enjoy painting them. Creating their individuality and personality is fun. Their facial expressions and giving them that look of unquestioning adoration seems to come easily to me. Easier perhaps then capturing their human counterparts with brush and watercolour. I hope these three make you smile. Who wouldn’t smile it’s the first of May.

Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolor and ink on 5.5″ x 8.5″ Fabriano paper.

Cards

I have a greeting card assembly line happening these days. Fun to do and even more fun coming up with fresh ideas. There are more then these two. Mother’s Day is coming. Cheers Susan

“Camille”

This is Camille. Another one of the greeting cards I have been creating of late. Camille’s luminous eyes are hard to resist. Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolor and ink on Strathmore card stock.
