Finding solace in my art

I am fortunate to have my art. Since I started painting in 2009 it’s always gotten me through the tuff times in life. This week I found solace once again. Like taking small steps everyday to move on I started with small things like cards. I then moved onto a bigger canvas. I will share photos of that when I am done but I am sharing photos of the four cards I made. The cards are now available at Rikki Lou Who’s Gift Emporium downtown Salmon Arm on Alexander St.

Art available…and grief ❤️

I still have lots of paintings available for sale. All anyone needs to do is email me Susan at sfeniakart@gmail.com

I dropped off 6 new “one of a kind” hand painted greeting cards at Rikki Lou Who’s Gift Emporium downtown Salmon Arm on Alexander St today as well.

We have been recovering from or trying to find our way through the grief following the death of our youngest son. Thanks to the love and support of our friends and loved ones we are finding our way.

It is almost time for me to set up my easel and escape into my art….

Small art and a new venue…

Recently I have been trying to rebuild my small painting inventory. The first two paintings are 10″ x 10″ acrylic on canvas. Can you tell that I was having fun with my palette knives?

I am pleased to announce that my “one of a kind”, hand painted greeting cards are now available for sale at Rikki Lou Who’s Gift Emporium on Alexander Street downtown Salmon Arm BC. I would like to thank the owner, Rachele for the opportunity and for supporting local artists. There are several photos of my cards above. I dropped off 15 to see how they sell. Fingers crossed. I am excited and looking forward to coming up with some more fun ideas for my cards.

My cards are all 4″ x 6″, hand painted original pieces of art. Artist Susan Feniak

World Watercolor Month Days 30 and 31. Yippee! Look who made it in time to join the festivities, “Gretchen”! World Watercolor Month wouldn’t be the same without a visit from my dear friend Gretchen. And with my final card of the month, a hydrangea, it’s a wrap. I hope you have enjoyed this month long celebration of watercolor as much as I have. World Watercolor Month Days 28 and 29

World Watercolor Month Days 28 and 29. I invited my old friends to join me in the festivities. “Ollie” was the first to arrive. I hope “Gretchen” arrives soon.

We are in the midst of a heatwave here in BC but that hasn’t deterred the flowers from thriving. While out for my walks I have been spotting all manner of beauties, including black eyed susan’s. Thankfully not my namesake but I recently did have two black eyes from a bad fall. Good thing I heal quickly.

World Watercolor Month Days 26 and 27

World Watercolor Month Day 26 and 26. Is there an explanation needed? It’s no secret that I adore highland cattle. I also love flowers. Please note the Echinacea (purple cone flowers) have SOLD🔴 As this month long celebration of painting the world in watercolor and beauty winds down I wish we could continue to spread the love.

Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolors and ink on Strathmore card stock. 4″ x 6″. All my cards are “one of a kind”. Meaning, individually hand painted original pieces of art. Asking $8 each.

World Watercolor Month Days 24 and 25

World Watercolor Month Days 24 and 25. Another two cards created. While out for my walk yesterday I came across some honeysuckle. I couldn’t resist trying to duplicate it’s blooms and gorgeous color. The lighthouse is my imagination. Since we are in the middle of a heat wave perhaps I was dreaming of cooling ocean breezes and waves. I will NOT complain about sun and warmth. It was just a week or so ago that we were huddled under blankets trying to stay warm and dry.

Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolors and ink on Strathmore card stock. 4″ x 6″ My cards are “one of a kind”, hand painted original pieces. Due to higher expenses I am now asking $8 each. Plus shipping.

World Watercolor Month Days 21,22 and 23

Hello, I am still getting caught up posting my World Watercolor Month creations. This year I have decided not to follow the optional prompts and instead have been doing my own thing. I am however making cards again. With the exception of the birdie sitting on the daisy they are all greeting cards. I am having my usual fun coming up with ideas for this month long celebration of art.
