Waves Brilliant Dance. My latest painting is still drying on my easel. These days the ocean and waves seem to be my muse. That comes as no surprise to me. To achieve the texture I used several different palette knives and a credit card. The entire painting was done without a brush. Admittedly this technique is hard on my acrylic paint supply. Even using Goldens soft gel gloss to extend my paint it sucked up lots. Did I have fun? No need to ask. Did I make a big mess with paint smeared everywhere, even on my phone? You bet. A joyful mess. I am pleased with the end result.

It is not in my nature to give up. “Meanwhile Back At The Nest”. This painting has under gone several rethinks and remakes. Is “rethinks” a word? It is now. I will live with this version for a few days and then decide if I am finished or not. It will need a name at some point as well. I hope you are staying well and safe. We can all get through these challenging times. Artist Susan Feniak. Golden Artist Acrylics on 16″ x 20″ x 1.5″ thick canvas. $250.00 Thanks for stopping by.
It’s official my first painting of 2020 has a name. High And Dry. Between my Instagram, Facebook and WP site there was a tied vote. I ended up asking my husband which name he preferred Skiff’s at Low Tide or High and Dry. Thank you to all that took the time to cast their vote.
My first painting of 2020. As yet untitled. Perhaps you can help me name it. Which one do you like “Skiffs at Low Tide” or “High and Dry”? I am keeping this one for now. A birthday present for me by me. Spending time at my easel certainly helps me forget all the goings on in this world of ours. Everyone should try it! Spreading a little positivity and happiness with art. Cheers Susan Feniak Acrylic on 18″ x 24″ x 1.5″ thick canvas. susanfeniakart.com
“Remembering”. My latest painting. My homage to all those who have sacrificed their lives or given of themselves so we can enjoy freedom. I live in one of the finest countries in the world because someone fought for it and for us and our future. So as Canadians we are free to live life like nowhere else. Be grateful for that freedom and our country. United in Peace. Remembrance day November 11th 2019
