World Watercolor Month Days 24 and 25

World Watercolor Month Days 24 and 25. Another two cards created. While out for my walk yesterday I came across some honeysuckle. I couldn’t resist trying to duplicate it’s blooms and gorgeous color. The lighthouse is my imagination. Since we are in the middle of a heat wave perhaps I was dreaming of cooling ocean breezes and waves. I will NOT complain about sun and warmth. It was just a week or so ago that we were huddled under blankets trying to stay warm and dry.

Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolors and ink on Strathmore card stock. 4″ x 6″ My cards are “one of a kind”, hand painted original pieces. Due to higher expenses I am now asking $8 each. Plus shipping.

World Watercolor Month 2020 Day 31

World Watercolor Month Day 31 prompt “Do Over”. Here we are at the final day of a month long celebration of Watercolor and creativity. It has been a busy but fruitful month for me. I hope you enjoyed the journey. Instead of a “do over” I am sharing a smattering of what I create over the rest of the year using watercolors and ink. A shout out and big thank you to Charlie O’Shields at doodlewash.com for everything he does for art, artists and watercolor lovers the world over. World Watercolor Month is his brain child. World Watercolor Month 2020 Day 23

World Watercolor Month Day 23 prompt “Alone”. I imagine a lighthouse keeper must have a lonely job. Alone out in some out post. I suppose now days lighthouses are all automated. But in years gone by someone used to have to keep the light lit to warn off unwary ships. Besides it was time for me to wow you with a new lighthouse! See me smile? To learn more about World Watercolor Month please visit worldwatercolormonth.com While there check out the shop. All proceeds benefit The Dreaming Zebra Foundation. Thank you.

Going gone…

Saturday was an exciting day! “When It’s Calm” and “Lifting Fog” went to new homes. Thank you to the new owners. It’s always reassuring and gratifying when someone likes what one creates enough to hang it on a wall in their home. I am appreciative of everyone’s continued support of my artistic endeavors. Again, thank you. Susan Feniak

FYI Lifting Fog had been previously damaged but I managed to repair it. The purchaser was dutifully informed. I am not in the habit of selling damaged goods.

Continuing Water Theme

SOLD! A new watercolor completed. My watery theme continues with another lighthouse. “When It’s Calm”. At the moment this looks like a tranquil spot. But my imagination tells me it can get wild, battered by storms. Why else have a lighthouse to warn unwary ships? Please do tell me what you think.

A remake of an old favourite.

Lifting Fog 2

Both SOLD Recently the original painting Lifting Fog SOLD. A good thing. Unfortunately while preparing the painting for shipping it got damaged. What to do? Paint another one of course. No choice really but give it a try. You may not realize this but no two paintings turn out the same. Artists are constantly evolving. Learning new techniques, changing styles. The original painting was done two years ago.

Lifting Fog 1

But I wanted to try. I had a paying client to satisfy. I believe that I managed to get it close but not exact. My purchaser has decided to buy the new version. I am thankful for her understanding. I hope she likes it as much as the original.

Day 6 World Watercolor Month

Day 6 World Watercolor Month and the prompt of Window View had me thinking of all the different types of windows in the world with all the different views. Since I love boats and the water whether it be seaside or lake side the view from my window needs to include those elements.

Two Days Left

There are only two days left to purchase one of my paintings at Gallery One Fifty in Sicamous. The gallery will be closing for the season on September 15th. Cheers Susan Feniak.

Lighthouse #4

I am enjoying painting lighthouses these days. This is number four in the series. So far. Artist Susan Feniak. Koi and Windsor Newton Cotman Water Colours on Strathmore paper.
