“Spring Tulips”

Spring Tulips. Artist Susan Feniak. QoR Watercolor on Strathmore Vision paper. 9″ x 12″. Officially Spring begins around 3 p.m. today. These tulips are my homage to that momentous event. I hadn’t played with my watercolors for ages and it felt like I had become a tad rusty. I better find more time to practice. Unframed $30.

A touch of spring

Yesterday was a snowy day where I live. I have been swamped with work related duties since the new year began. In need of some fun and brightness I painted these crocus’s. My brother gave me a lovely box of Hahnemuhle postcards for Christmas. The postcards and other art supplies that both my siblings gave me are going to be very much enjoyed.

Favourite Flowers

One of my favourite flowers are pink lily’s. Artist Susan Feniak. Windsor Newton Cotman Water Colours on Fabriano paper. 8″×10″.

Pink Lily

Pink Lily. Artist Susan Feniak. Windsor Newton Cotman Water Colours on Fabriano paper. 8″×10″ Home from a fantastic holiday weekend spent on our houseboat. Hope you all have a great week.

Feverfew

I was trying for a delicate touch with these rather prolific garden flowers. Given half a chance Feverfew will take over a flower bed. Since they are pretty and make an excellent cut flower it’s not such a bad thing if you let them take over. Artist Susan Feniak.  Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors on Opus Finest Paper.  The last page of this sketch book. Perfect timing, new year, new book.

“Red White and Blue ” #WorldWatercolorMonth

July 4th. A busy work day for me after our Canadian 150th celebrations and art show. This one isn’t really red white and blue but close enough. Original art by Susan Feniak. Koi Watercolors on Opus Finest paper
