World Watercolor Month Continues! So far I have managed to paint something every day. They are all on my Instagram account. Sadly I have fallen behind here and on Facebook. Here is a smattering. Happy Monday!
Finally! Some time for art. “Jade Shell” original art by Susan Feniak. Holdbien Water Colours on Canson Water Colour paper. I got this shell while visiting Key West and thought it worthy of a portrait. Hope you all had a marvelous weekend. Cheers, Susan
#WorldWatercolorGroup The prompt for November 2nd “Deviled Eggs”. I had fun with the prompt and didn’t take todays attempt seriously at all. Okay, so the devil made me do it!! Perhaps its because I don’t care for deviled eggs. I do make them for my husband who thinks they are part of a major food group. In other words he loves them. Original art by Susan Feniak. Holbein Artists Water Color on Canson Mix Media paper. Have a good laugh!! Cheers. PEACE
“Thistle” #WorldWatercolorGroup original art by Susan Feniak. Holbein Artists Water Color and Faber-Castell PITT artist pens on Strathmore 140 lb cold press paper. 11″ x 15″. Another bit of Scotland. Enjoy! PEACE
“Hairy Beasty” #WorldWatercolorGroup original art by Susan Feniak. Holbein Artists Water Colour on Strathmore 140lb Cold Press 11″ x 15″ paper. I also used my Faber-Castell PITT artist pens and white GellyRoll pen. Pretty sure I want to get myself some more colors of GellyRoll. A beige would look better then white in this particular painting. I am inspired by this highlander. Most likely because I love all things Scottish. Hope you have a grand week. Cheers! PEACE
“Chip” #WorldWatercolorGroup original art by Susan Feniak. Holbein Artists’ Water Colors and Faber-Castell PITT artist pen on Opus Finest Watercolour Pad. I had so much fun doing my painting of “The Mossy Retreat” last week that I decided to do a close up of the chipmunk using water colors instead of acrylics this week. So here is my little buddy “Chip”. He has left his mossy retreat and is out and about busily nibbling on whatever he can find. Cheers! PEACE
June 28th Since we are still in Scotland we will go for a nature walk in the Highlands today. Here we will come across the most common of sights, sheep. They are everywhere, its their grass, their hills and even their road. These two were only slightly curious of our approach so apparently people are common here too.

It has been brought to my attention that there is a bit of a problem at our party. A shortage of wine. I have been known to be a problem solver and the shortage may be due mainly because I wouldn’t share my wine last week. I have decided to make up for the shortfall by bringing a box of wine to our #DoodlewashDinner. It is National Wine Day, so why not? Lets celebrate! Problem solved right? Wait a minute, it would seem the red wine drinkers may have a complaint now. Oh dear.
My #DoodlewashDinner today was done as per usual on Opus Essentials Sketchbook with Neocolor II Caran D’Ache by me Susan Feniak I have tried not to infringe on any copyright or trademarks. I must say it is an excellent wine and very much enjoyed at this house. Even out of a box.
Thank you once again to Charlie O’Shields at doodlewash.wordpress.com for making this another fun month of doodlewashing.

Merry Christmas wishes. The Winter Chickadees have been busy! A magical time indeed. I hope all of you my blogging friends and supporters have a very happy time with family and friends. Cheers, Susan
original art by Susan Feniak water colour pencil on paper Tomorrow is Draw a Bird Day but I have gone bird crazy here so am able to post this one today and another is ready for the official day. These two look as impressed with the fact that it is winter as I am. Grumpy? No matter, it is winter and there is nothing they or I can do about it. Cheer up!! At least they don’t have a dump of snow on them like my cardinals do!
