Happy Easter

I have been home from Mexico for ten days now. I apologize for not posting something sooner than this.

You see my dear Mum died while we were away. At the good age of 96, darn near 97. She lived a good long life. Sadly I have to admit it was time for her to leave us. Her life had become more about a lack of quality rather than quantity. I watched her failing for several years and it was difficult to witness. In her younger years she was a strong, vivacious, outgoing woman. Always giving to the community and her church. She managed to out live so many. I miss her.

Anyway I have been busy dealing with estate matters. Anyone who has ever dealt with that will understand what I mean.

I have cleared off my art desk and hope to get back to creating. I have several ideas rumbling around in my head. My fingers are starting to twitch in anticipation.

In the meantime I wish you, my friends and followers a Happy Easter.

Cheers Susan Feniak

  1. Sorry to hear this news. My father is 91 tomorrow and I see him getting more frail each time I visit. So sad when we lose our parents and all the family stories they possess, the rich knowledge they have gained over their lifetime. Hugs Susan.

  2. So sad…. Young or old, it is a milestone in the life of those grieving and then tackling all the ‘estate’ issues, issues that bureaucracy throws at us. Nor are you ever really prepared for the goodbye’s. People say you have the memories, indeed you have, but it takes time to select the best into your own top ten….. the go to moments of reflection.

I’m sorry Susan. We always miss our mothers.
And estates are difficult to deal with, even when everything has been legally spelled out…good luck. (K)
