So far its been a rather wet inclement weekend. We started hauling our belongings off our boat and bringing them home today. Soon it will be time to winterize and store her. All this has me missing the long hot days of summer. Relaxing outside whether on our deck, in the garden, or on our boat. sigh. How quickly fall has moved in!
So, I took time out to help me remember those lazy days of summer and did a quick sketch of my Butterfly Bush.

Hello Violet, thank you for your kind comment on my Butterfly Bush sketch. I didn’t mean to be sad. But thinking about winter and fall does that to me. Putting our boat away for another year does too. Sketching that flower cheered me up! And there are many happy days ahead! XXX 🙂

“Soon it will be time to winterize and store her.” Something about that sentence, Susan, that has a sadness about it, but also rest, and then, sunshine and joy again.

Thanks Don. Winterizing and storing our boat does indeed make me sad. That is why I took time out and did some painting/sketching yesterday. That brings on happy thoughts and is an excellent diversion! I do know summer will return but it always seems so far off.
