A Nice Day For A Walk

Previously titled, “Done?”  The consensus is that the painting is indeed done.  I did add some Canada Geese flying in formation but I have not taken another photo of the painting.  It was a nice day for a walk along the nature trail in Salmon Arm Bay. The biggest water colour I have tackled to date.  At the moment I am not sure if this one is finished or not.  I don’t want to over work it.  Usually I am happy or pleased with the end product.  Perhaps its because this is a water colour that has me doubting.  It has been fun playing and spending time at my easel.

Original art by Susan Feniak  Staedtler water colour pencils and Holbein water colours on 18” x 24” Strathmore water colour paper.

    Hi Susan,
This painting looks so peaceful. I can almost hear those cat tails rustling in a gentle breeze. Good one!

  2. Such an important lesson to know when to stop. I still often look at work and wish that I had stopped before I did. Nice work! ~Rita

  3. If there was a gadget to tell you when your picture was done or, if you would only make it worse by continuing, I’d buy it! Good luck deciding Susan, a quandary I often have!

Beautiful work Susan, I also like the cattails – they added a wonderful element of interest and giving more distance.
