“Flowery ” #worldwatercolorgroup

May 2nd and the prompt led me to Lily of the Valley. Simply because it blooms in May, I enjoy it’s scent and the leaves are textural. Original art by Susan Feniak.  Holbein Artists water colors on Strathmore cold press paper. “4×6”. #WorldWatercolorGroup

  1. Carol commented that it reminded her of her Grandma, I too have similar memories and to this day always think of Lilly of the Valley as a rather ‘old fashioned’ plant. Love it when I find it but sadly fewer of our gardens seem to find space for these delicate white bells. You capture their mood and feel very well. 🙂

These remind me of my grandma. She grew lilies of the valley outside her back door and would let us pick them at Easter. Thanks for reminding me of that with your lovely painting!

One of my favorites! My mother always had them in her yard. (K)
