World Watercolor Month 2020 Day 31

World Watercolor Month Day 31 prompt “Do Over”. Here we are at the final day of a month long celebration of Watercolor and creativity. It has been a busy but fruitful month for me. I hope you enjoyed the journey. Instead of a “do over” I am sharing a smattering of what I create over the rest of the year using watercolors and ink. A shout out and big thank you to Charlie O’Shields at doodlewash.com for everything he does for art, artists and watercolor lovers the world over. World Watercolor Month is his brain child. World Watercolor Month 2020 Day 19

World Watercolor Month Day 19 prompt “Favorite Scent”. There are too many to choose one. I like everything from Mock Orange blossoms to tea roses. The smell of the ocean to freshly turned earth. Although the scent of a Stargazer Lily gets right up my husband’s nose I would have to say their perfume is a favorite of mine. Here is my take on a Stargazer Lily. This card is QoR watercolors and Pixma Micron ink on Strathmore card stock. Remembering

“Remembering”. My latest painting. My homage to all those who have sacrificed their lives or given of themselves so we can enjoy freedom. I live in one of the finest countries in the world because someone fought for it and for us and our future. So as Canadians we are free to live life like nowhere else. Be grateful for that freedom and our country. United in Peace. Remembrance day November 11th 2019

Artist Susan Feniak. Acrylic on 20″ x 20″ canvas.

Sunflower

The power was out for around six hours today. What does a girl do other then try to stay warm? She creates.

New and SOLD

My first version of this painting was much smaller. Approximately 3″ x 5″. Someone asked me if I could make it a bigger size. So that is what I did. At 14″ x 18″ it is one of the biggest watercolor and ink paintings that I have done. QoR watercolor and ink on Arches paper. Artist Susan Feniak.

Two more SOLD

SOLD! Daisy Fresh and My Old Pond are both on their way to Medicine Hat AB. Thank you to the new owner. I hope the paintings give a lot of pleasure in the years to come. As always I am very pleased to have my art hanging in another home. Cheers Susan

Day 25 World Watercolor Month

Day 25 World Watercolor Month. The prompt Shades of Pink or was that Pink Shades?

Day 19 World Watercolor Month

Day 19 SOLD World Watercolor Month and the prompt Splashes of Color was nothing but fun for this colour loving gal. The splashing part was even more enjoyable. Considering me and my usual style this is a loosely done painting.

Day 12 World Watercolor Month

Day 12 World Watercolor Month. The prompt today was Blossoming. I would say this pot of plants and flowers is blossoming. Happy Friday!
