Seahorse

Seahorse fun. Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolor and ink on Fabriano 5.5″ x 8.5″ paper. Nothing as fun as splattering and splashing paint about.

Happy Place

Play time is art time. A happy place is at the beach. Any beach. The happiest place of all? On our boat. I hope to be spending time on our happiest place of all soon. In the meantime I will paint a beach, any beach will do. Smiling. Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolor and ink 8″ x 10″ Fabriano paper.

An experiment

This one was an experiment. I took a cue from an older Watercolor Artist magazine. Playing with looser brush strokes and different colors. The article was about painting a cat and techniques for painting fur. I couldn’t leave well enough alone and added a mouse. I named my version “Cat and Mouse Game”. Artist Susan Feniak. Daniel Smith watercolor and ink on Fabriano paper.

“Shaggy Beast”

Another sketch book filled by this shaggy beast. I had fun creating this stylised highland cow. Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolor and ink on Opus Finest Paper.

“Fergus, playtime please.”

Fergus is looking for a little fun time! Won’t you play with him? I had my fun creating him. Cheers Susan. Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolor and ink on Fabriano 8″ x 10″ paper. Unframed $30.

Lambing Time

Surely lambing time is a perfect sign of spring. This little darling is a quick sketch or doodlewash to celebrate yet another spring time event. Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolor and ink on Opus Finest paper. Happy spring!

“Watermelon ” #WorldWatercolorGroup¬†

June 18th and the prompt Watermelon brought back memories.  Our kids never did take a liking to melons. Given a choice I would prefer Musk melons or cantaloupe. So I understood.  Honeydew melons are yummy too. Quickly done but original art by Susan Feniak. QOR water color on Strathmore Paper.  6″√ó6″
