Wow where did April go? Anyone else find it hard to believe we will see May 1st tomorrow? Today’s prompt had me thinking that it isn’t really picnic weather here as yet. But this spot seemed inviting to me when I thought it up. Near the water and all. Perhaps we could find a kite to fly too. Original art by Susan Feniak. Since I just did an acrylic painting of “The Blue Bike”, (which by the way was a bike I once had) I decided that I would do a very quick sketch of a red trike pretty tassels and all that I had as a wee girl. Being the youngest of three getting a new bike was special. Usually everything was a ” hand- me-down”. As a youngster I was always outside. Rain or shine. Any bike or trike I got was literally ridden into the ground. Worn out. I went threw more shoes and flip flops then any other kid on the block. My knees were always bloodied with bits of dirt and gravel embedded. Was I happy? You bet! To this day I enjoy riding a bike. Pure joy is flying down a hill with the wind blowing in your face. Freedom.
