#WorldWatercolorGroup  November 4, 5, and 6.  I missed a couple of days of posting my sketches but that doesn’t mean that I didn’t do them.  Here they are.  The prompt for November 4th was “Sugar Candies”.  The prompt for November 5th was “Doughnuts” and the prompt for November 6th was “Potatoes”.  Hope you have all enjoyed a wonderful weekend.  Cheers. PEACE

#WorldWatercolorGroup “Deviled Eggs”

20161101_135040#WorldWatercolorGroup The prompt for November 2nd “Deviled Eggs”.  I had fun with the prompt and didn’t take todays attempt seriously at all.  Okay, so the devil made me do it!!  Perhaps its because I don’t care for deviled eggs.  I do make them for my husband who thinks they are part of a major food group.  In other words he loves them.  Original art by Susan Feniak.  Holbein Artists Water Color on Canson Mix Media paper.  Have a good laugh!!  Cheers. PEACE

#WorldWatercolorGroup “Croissants”

“Hairy Beasty” #WorldWatercolorGroup

20161024_150345“Hairy Beasty” #WorldWatercolorGroup  original art by Susan Feniak.  Holbein Artists Water Colour on Strathmore 140lb Cold Press 11″ x 15″ paper.  I also used my Faber-Castell PITT artist pens and white GellyRoll pen.  Pretty sure I want to get myself some more colors of GellyRoll.  A beige would look better then white in this particular painting.   I am inspired by this highlander.  Most likely because I love all things Scottish.  Hope you have a grand week.  Cheers!  PEACE

“Chip” #WorldWatercolorGroup

20161012_120357“Chip” #WorldWatercolorGroup  original art by Susan Feniak.  Holbein Artists’ Water Colors and Faber-Castell PITT artist pen on Opus Finest Watercolour Pad.  I had so much fun doing my painting of “The Mossy Retreat” last week that I decided to do a close up of the chipmunk using water colors instead of acrylics this week.  So here is my little buddy “Chip”.  He has left his mossy retreat and is out and about busily nibbling on whatever he can find.  Cheers!  PEACE

“Lighthouse” #WorldWatercolorGroup

img_20160907_113213“Lighthouse” #WorldWatercolorGroup   The prompt for September 7.  This is Stoer Lighthouse.  Situated on Stoer Head north of Lochinver in North West Scotland.  Dating from the 1870’s.  I painted this from a photo I took while at the lighthouse about ten years ago.  It was a blustery day and the clouds lay wet and low over the sea.  The views and surrounding coastline are spectacular.

“Sailboat” #WorldWatercolorGroup

img_20160906_082700“Sailboat”  #WorldWatercolorGroup   The prompt for today September 6, Sailboat.  I love seeing a sailboat with their colorful spinnaker unfurled.  Running before the wind. My phone camera did not like this painting so here is the best photo of the lot.  Cheers!  PEACE

“Sunglasses” #WorldWatercolorGroup

IMG_20160904_154220“Sunglasses”  The prompt for #WorldWatercolorGroup today is sunglasses.  That is an easy one for me.  I don’t have just one pair I have at least ten pairs of sunglasses.  I guess one could say I have a thing for them.  After all a girl needs matching accessories.  Not to mention a pair of sunglasses for wherever and whenever she needs them.  There is always a pair in my purse, car, and on the boat.  By the back door, front door and near the patio.  Now don’t get me wrong, these are not expensive designer sunglasses.  Good grief.  I never spend more then $15 per pair.  That is how I can have as many pairs of sunglasses as needed.  Cheers!  PEACE

“Beach Ball” #WorldWatercolorGroup

IMG_20160904_140149“Beach Ball” was the prompt for #WorldWatercolorGroup today.  Here I have a standard beach ball, nothing special.  I was a muck about with a bucket and shovel kind of kid.  My favorite bucket was blue.  I made many a sand castle with it and my white shovel.  Beach balls had a tendency to float or blow away.  Watching it bob off into great deep dark depths that one couldn’t possibly swim to was rather stressful.  I am sure many a tear has been shed over the loss of a prettily colored beach ball.  Ergo mucking about with my bucket and shovel.  Lifting rocks to see what was under, finding stray sand dollars or sea shells.  The idyllic day at the beach for this kid.  Oh and a lot of swimming.  There was none of that laying on a towel sun bathing stuff happening for me.  Cheers!  PEACE
