Happy Mothers Day! Remember we are “Flamazing”!

“Skye” is varnished and framed.

“Skye” is varnished and has a frame.  Because of the cost of a frame I have to increase the asking price for “Skye” to $450.00 cdn plus shipping. It’s a white metal floating frame. Measuring 25″ to outside edges. I can still offer “Skye” at the original price of $350.00 without the frame.

Meet “Skye”. Artist Susan Feniak. Acrylic on a 24″x 24″ gallery wrapped canvas.

Skye is available. Asking $350 cdn plus shipping.

Skye is a highlander. I  know it’s not my first attempt at painting one of these guys but Skye certainly is the biggest version.

It felt good to get back to my easel and creating.

Look what’s coming to life on my easel…

Start…WIP

Work in progress
“Skye” WIP

Look what’s coming to life on my easel! “Skye”. A highlander and a homage to my ancestral home, Scotland.

Remember this is a work in progress. I am still wondering if I should paint some flowers and greens strewn in Skye’s hair and horns. Or keep it simple and quaint. Almost as is….

Regardless it feels good to spend time at my easel. It’s been since before Christmas.

I will keep you updated when completed. In the meantime I hope everyone had a good Easter weekend.

Cheers Susan Feniak

Home

We are home! Actually we’ve been back in Canada for ten days  now. It’s been a busy ten days.

The photos? There’s a couple of paintings that I have available. Our houseboat that we’re looking forward to spending the summer months on. Took a few minutes for myself and got a haircut. And my 2025 Federation of Canadian Artists badge.

Hopefully I’ll get time to spend time at my easel soon. And time to spend getting caught up here.

Hope everyone had a good winter. I am embracing the Canadian spring weather. A slight change from the Mexican sunshine and warmth.

Cheers Susan

I am still here….

I am still here in beautiful Ixtapa Mexico. I did say that I would post any art that I manage to do. So….the above are the six “one of a kind” cards that I made to donate to a silent auction in support of the elderly peoples of Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo. There are no pensions, no old age security here so if you don’t have family to help you or the wherewithal to maintain a home or have food and a roof over your head there is no support for you. Think about that for a moment!

We are fortunate.

For the last several years while staying here we have donated to this event and cause.

Artist Susan Feniak. Watercolor and ink on 5″ x 7″ cards.

Thank you…

On this final day of 2024 I would like to take a moment to thank all the wonderful people who continue to support me in my artistic endeavors. I really do appreciate your continued and unwavering support.

Wishing you a happy, healthy, prosperous and peaceful 2025.

Cheers Susan Feniak

2024 paintings part 2! Please see my previous post for part 1 and the explanation for why I had to make parts 1 and 2!

I think that I produced a lot of art work in 2024. I know many of you create a lot more than I but considering my artistic year didn’t start until late March at the earliest, 17 larger pieces seems a fair amount.

Remember that I also created countless of my “one of a kind” cards too. I haven’t included photos of them or my smaller pieces.

At this time I would like to thank you, my friends, followers and collectors for your continued support. It helps me to know that what I create is indeed appreciated. Your support helps me to continue on this journey of mine.

Cheers Susan Feniak

I had a late start in 2024. I didn’t start spending time at my easel until late March, early April. Taking that into account I think that I produced a lot of art this year. These are only the first 9 of 17 bigger pieces. Since WordPress limited the amount of photos I could post I will have to make a part 2.

There were also countless “one of a kind” cards created too. Sadly because of the Canada Post strike and the lack of a venue this year I did not make many Christmas cards. There is always next year.

Thank you to all that supported me this year. I really do appreciate your continued support. My artistic endeavors and journey can continue thanks to you.

Cheers, Susan Feniak
