My Pink Pond Lilies

Original art by Susan Feniak  Acrylic on 18” x 24” box canvas

Finished! As soon as I saw these two beauties in my pond this summer I knew I was going to have to put them onto canvas.  These days there hasn’t been enough time to enjoy being happy at my easel.  Today I made that time to play.  The overwhelming need for something beautiful and good in my life and the urge to escape into painting la la land overtook me.  It felt good and I think the end result shows. $200.00 plus shipping and handling will get you this painting!

Let me know what you think.  Cheers, Susan A favorite of mine, available for $250 plus shipping and handling

In Progress

A first for me.  Sharing my work while it is still in progress.  But I just wanted to let everyone know that I have finally found some time to spend at my easel.  Can you see me smiling?

Giving Away

I gave two more of my paintings away this past weekend. To family members so I do know they have gone to a good home. But, still, it would be nice to sale something once in awhile. A girl needs to keep herself in canvas and paints somehow!!!
Anyway “Pond Ornaments” and “Shuswap Shore” are no longer available.
Cheers Susan

Pond Ornaments

original art by Susan Feniak  acrylic on 20” x 20” boxed canvas

NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR SALE What was un-finished is now finished, I think.
I was remembering how lovely the water lilies were in my pond this past summer and this painting is the result.  Since at the longest point my pond is seventeen feet you can imagine what a show eight lilies put on!  I doubt I will ever have a yard or garden that doesn’t have a pond or water feature of some sort.  They are constant entertainment.  Not to mention inspiration.

Thank you for stopping by and please feel free to check out my other paintings on this blog.  Hope you enjoy the visit and the viewing.  Comments are always welcome.  /a>

Cheers, Susan

Juxtaposition?

Un-finished painting but had to post this anyway.  For interest sake.  Its hard to believe that my latest painting is based on the water lilies that were in my pond just a short couple of months ago.  Just look at the frozen snowy landscape it is now!!

Hopefully I will have time to complete the painting in the next little while.  In the meantime enjoy the wonderland that is my yard and pond this day.

Summers Final Show

Original Art by Susan Feniak  Acrylic on 16” x 20” canvas

This painting has been sitting on my easel for several months.  Somehow time has flown by with very little of that time available for painting.  It is considered “me” time.  The original plan for “Summers Final Show” was for it to be a partner to my painting “Garden Hearts”.  Perhaps that could still happen.  The two of them suit each other as the same fence is their background.

This painting is available for sale and the asking price is $75.00

Sketch from the garden

“Butterfly Bush” original art by Susan Feniak  water color pencil on 8”x10” paper

So far its been a rather wet inclement weekend.  We started hauling our belongings off our boat and bringing them home today.  Soon it will be time to winterize and store her.  All this has me missing the long hot days of summer.  Relaxing outside whether on our deck, in the garden, or on our boat. sigh.  How quickly fall has moved in!

So, I took time out to help me remember those lazy days of summer and did a quick sketch of my Butterfly Bush.

Blue Rhapsody

original art By Susan Feniak  acrylic on 20” x 24” canvas

Talk about getting right back on the horse!  After disappointment at the art show I decided not to give up.  So here is my latest painting.  One of my favourite flowers in the garden this time of year.  Delphiniums.  I always grow at least one, preferably blue but purple or any color will do.  I am trying to have a style of painting that is all my own.  I remain positive that someday things will click.

This painting is for sale and comments are welcome.
Unframed asking price $150.00

Pond Iris

A quick sketch today.  I haven’t dabbled in water colors for awhile.  The pond iris is in full bloom right now.  For a change it wasn’t raining this afternoon.  So outdoors I went.  Parked myself on the deck with  water colors and sketch pad and this was the result.  It felt good just to be outside after a week long marathon of bookkeeping chores.  Too bad a girl has to work between stints at the easel!!
