QOR water color #worldwatercolorgroup

It’s official I am going to love my new QOR water colors. Made by Golden. I bought 6 basic colors.  The cadmium Yellow is on back order.  Because there was an awesome sale on at Opus, I also received 3 free tubes.  You can see the results in my first quick painting using only the magenta, Chinese white, oxide green and nickel azo yellow. I will be sharing more…. Original art by Susan Feniak.  QOR water color on Canson Aquarelle paper. I am saving the new hot press Arches for special paintings. #worldwatercolorgroup

“Snails” #worldwatercolorgroup

“Snails” April 27th. A snail from the garden was kind enough to let me sketch his home.  However he was a little bit shy when it came time for me to do a portrait of him. Fine by me and I was actually thankful he was shy. If you know what I mean. Original art by Susan Feniak. Holbein Artists water colors on Strathmore cold press paper.  6″×6″  #worldwatercolorgroup

Grilled Rosemary, Lemon and Garlic Chicken. Yum. Oh wait minute, it’s raining again…..nix the grilled part. “Bicycle ” #worldwatercolorgroup

The prompt for April 20th is “Bicycle “.  Since I just did an acrylic painting of “The Blue Bike”, (which by the way was a bike I once had) I decided that I would do a very quick sketch of a red trike pretty tassels and all that I had as a wee girl.  Being the youngest of three getting a new bike was special. Usually everything was a ” hand- me-down”.  As a youngster I was always outside. Rain or shine. Any bike or trike I got was literally ridden into the ground. Worn out. I went threw more shoes and flip flops then any other kid on the block. My knees were always bloodied with bits of dirt and gravel embedded. Was I happy? You bet! To this day I enjoy riding a bike. Pure joy is flying down a hill with the wind blowing in your face. Freedom.
