A revision and a reminder…

A reminder…

This time I have a revision of a painting that I did back in 2018 to share with you. I was never particularly happy with “Raven Trail Autumn” but at the time I decided to leave it alone. Every time I looked at it I wanted to do something to it but was never sure what. The boardwalk bothered me and the lake in the distance did too. So this week I finally put Raven Trail Autumn back on my easel and had a go at changing it. Hopefully for the better. As you can see I posted the 2018 version on top and the 2024 revision bellow it.

The reminder is for the upcoming annual July long weekend Art Show and Sale at the Red Barn in Sicamous. Please, if you are in the area, drop by and visit the show. We have a lot of very talented people in our neck of the woods. I will be volunteering at the show daily from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and I will have four of my bigger paintings available along with a table of my smaller paintings and “one of a kind” cards for sale.

“Raven Trail Autumn”, artist Susan Feniak. Acrylic on a 16″ x 20″ gallery canvas. Asking $250.00 cdn plus shipping

Sold and then not sold. Wait a minute and then SOLD. Proving to me that art is a very personal thing. Recently someone took a liking to my painting Raven Trail Autumn. Upon seeing it personally, other then via photo, decided that it wasn’t for them. Not quite right to their decerning eye. No problem, I have a lot of paintings to share. After being shown Raven Trail Birch it was, yes please. Ergo I am pleased to say that my painting Raven Trail Birch has SOLD. Thank you to the purchaser and giving my art a lovely forever home. Cheers Susan Feniak

Excited

Shine On

I am excited because I had my painting “Shine On” a.k.a. “Trudy Tortuga” printed on canvas shopping bags. As you may know I do not make prints of my art. I made an exception this time. I support living a sustainable life style. Reusable shopping bags is a big part of that sustainability. The original painting Shine On is staying in my private collection. Therefore no one can be upset that I made copies of a painting they have bought. There were 7 bags available. I am down to three. So Trudy is a popular tortuga. She remains a favourite of mine and greets visitors at our door with her smile. Hopefully we can have visitors again one day soon. Stay well my friends.
