Pristine but not for long!

“Pristine but not for long!” Bright cheerful little boats. Cleaned and readied for the season. The question is how long can they stay pristine? Artist Susan Feniak. Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors on Fabriano cold press paper. 8″×10″

“Who Is Fishing?”

Who Is Fishing? I think the pelicans are. The boat seems to have seen better days. Artist Susan Feniak. Golden Artist Colors on Canson Acrylic paper. 12″×16″

“Pelican Crew”

“Pelican Crew” Artist Susan Feniak. Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors on Canson paper. 9″x12″. This is a scene I came across while on our recent holiday. No doubt the pelicans were waiting for the fishermen to provide some fishy tidbits.

Hope all of you are enjoying the last of winter. Spring is just around the corner.

Bits and Pieces

My painting “Give Up?” Has gone to a new home. The owners are birdie lovers. Yesterday I was volunteering at Gallery One Fifty in Sicamous. Being a soggy wintery day not too many people were out and about. I had time to paint a panda family in celebration of our impending family day holiday weekend. Time dragged on to a quick painting of a a hippo. She was gazing at me from the Telus wall calendar. The star of January 2018.

With all that I will say I am gone on hiatus for a wee while. Enjoy the rest of your winter. Spring will come, it always does. Cheers Susan

Noisy Nest

It looks like a busy nest too! Artist Susan Feniak.  Water colours on Arches hot press paper. 9″×12″. A real mix of product everything from QoR to Daniel Smith to Holbein.  I hope you like this gaggle of youngsters.  Cheers Susan.

Chickadees and Pinecones

It’s been awhile since I last visited the chickadees. And since I have never painted or drawn pinecones it was time for that too.  Artist Susan Feniak. QOR watercolour on Arches hot press paper. Approximately 9″×9″.

At The Shore

I wasn’t happy with the original version of this painting so yesterday I spent some time adding more depth and interest.  You know, make it sing. I think it made a difference. Cheers.
