Pleased to say this one has š“ SOLD! Thank you to the collector, who I know will give it an appreciative home.
New art!! It’s been awhile since enough time was available for me to spend time at my easel. That and I really didn’t feel like it. Then, all of a sudden I got the urge, that must do, can do, feeling that I can’t resist. It felt good.
For lack of a better name I am calling this one “Garden Visitors”. That may be a temporary title. I shall see.
I hope you like it. It’s certainly summery and colourful.

Thank you everyone that came to the art show and sale at the Red Barn in Sicamous this past weekend. Because of you it was a success.Ā Many thanks to all the volunteers that worked hard before, during and after the show.
Although I miss him “Skye” found a new home and so did “Mr Heron”.
Now to start working on new pieces for next year’s show.

Wow! Thank you to everyone who came to the first day of the art show and voted for my painting “Skye”! š“ We won the first ever people’s choice award at the show. As far as I know this is the first time we’ve held a people’s choice contest. There will be a new winner every day during the show.
The show is still open tomorrow June 29th through July 1st. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. I will be there from 1 to 4 everyday.

“Skye” is varnished and has a frame. Because of the cost of a frame I have to increase the asking price for “Skye” to $450.00 cdn plus shipping. It’s a white metal floating frame. Measuring 25″ to outside edges. I can still offer “Skye” at the original price of $350.00 without the frame.

2024 paintings part 2! Please see my previous post for part 1 and the explanation for why I had to make parts 1 and 2!
I think that I produced a lot of art work in 2024. I know many of you create a lot more than I but considering my artistic year didn’t start until late March at the earliest, 17 larger pieces seems a fair amount.
Remember that I also created countless of my “one of a kind” cards too. I haven’t included photos of them or my smaller pieces.
At this time I would like to thank you, my friends, followers and collectors for your continued support. It helps me to know that what I create is indeed appreciated. Your support helps me to continue on this journey of mine.

2024 Paintings part 1

I had a late start in 2024. I didn’t start spending time at my easel until late March, early April. Taking that into account I think that I produced a lot of art this year. These are only the first 9 of 17 bigger pieces. Since WordPress limited the amount of photos I could post I will have to make a part 2.
There were also countless “one of a kind” cards created too. Sadly because of the Canada Post strike and the lack of a venue this year I did not make many Christmas cards. There is always next year.
Thank you to all that supported me this year. I really do appreciate your continued support. My artistic endeavors and journey can continue thanks to you.

“Heartsease” has received some more revisions. I am particularly fussy about putting this view onto canvas. It is, after all, our favorite view of Mara Lake BC. I am now happy with what I see. And feel that Heartsease doesn’t need anymore tweaks or revisions. All ready for your viewing enjoyment.
Speaking of revisions,Ā “Ebb and Flow” also got a few more tweaks or highlights. It will be ready for varnishing soon. In the meantime it’s ready for everyone’s visual enjoyment.
Heartsease is acrylic on a 20″ x 24″ gallery wrapped canvas. Asking $350.00 cdn plus shipping.

The latest revision has a title, “Heartsease”.Ā Our much loved view of Mara Lake BC. Tranquility. This painting was previously named Mara Twilight. The lighting of that painting was indeed twilight. I prefer showing Mara on a bright sunny day. Those of us fortunate enough to enjoy its beauty are very much aware that storms can stir Mara up into a frenzy of wild waves and whitecaps. That’s reality. It’s far more appealingĀ to remember the idyllic moments.

Ebb and Flow has seen a lot of changes over the last couple of days. I am happier with this new version. So far. I am fickle. There could possibly be a few more tweaks but for now I am saying “done”.Ā To see this painting pre revision please visit my previous post.
