Day 16 World Watercolor Month

Day 16 World Watercolor Month with the prompt Relaxing. Every home needs a big old chair to curl up in. To read or let the imagination fly. Or just relax in, a comfort zone to put your feet up and chill.

Day 13 World Watercolor Month

Day 13 World Watercolor Month. The prompt Glassy. This glass fish sits on my kitchen counter top. It is full of treasure collected from our travels. Along with a few pieces from various favourite beaches where we live. A memory fish if you will.

Day 11 World Watercolor Month

Day 11 World Watercolor Month. The prompt Simple Pleasures had my mind whirring away all over again. It doesn’t take much. Anyway I settled on snorkeling simply because it’s one of my favorite things to do. In actuality it isn’t very simple. Mainly because my ultimate place to go snorkeling is the Caribbean which is thousands of miles away from where I live. Sigh.

Day 10 World Watercolor Month

Day 10 World Watercolor Month and the prompt Ocean Creatures had my mind whirring in all manner of directions finally settling on a whale. I have seen these magnificent creatures up close and personal. Truly an experience I will never forget. Maybe one day we will learn to leave them alone so they can go about their lives as we do ours.

Day 8 World Watercolor Month

Day 8 of World Watercolor Month and the prompt is Flying High. Up up and away in our beautiful balloon! Curious, how many of you remember the song of long ago?

Day 4 World Watercolor Month

Day 4 The prompt Family fun. Wouldn’t it be fun to build a kite and fly it together as a family? I remember family fun times flying kites. Happy July 4th to all my American friends.

Day 2 World Watercolor Month

The prompt for day two of WorldWatercolorMonth “Sunny Skies” made me think of sunflowers pointing themselves toward the sun. Don’t ask me why. It just did. To get your prompts and more information about WorldWatercolorMonth2019 click on or go to worldwatercolormonth. com

Day 1 World Watercolor Month

Day 1 The prompt was Primary Palette which led me to primary colours and what is bright and colourful made with primary colours. Marbles. I will try to do all 31 days of #Worldwatercolormonth2019 but you may all ready know I don’t have internet on our boat and sometimes work gets in the way of my art time. There maybe some real quick art being produced by me during the month long celebration. Check out WorldWatercolorMonth and get your prompts at doodlewash.com

Daisy Fresh

SOLD “Daisy Fresh”. I was inspired by an article in June 2019 Watercolor Artist magazine “A Meditation in Light”. This is my acrylic spin on a watercolor of daisies in that article. Replication of a watercolor painting with acrylic is easier said then done. Or so it seemed to me. I am pleased with my result. Artist Susan Feniak. Acrylic on 16″ × 20″ box canvas. Painted on all sides. No frame needed. $175

Haven Point Cabin

You are the first to see this one. I finished it this afternoon. Knowing me it could end up with some revisions but for now I am pleased to say “Haven Point Cabin” is done. Those who know my art may remember that I have painted this cabin before. Twice as a matter of fact. But this is a different view and a few years on from my previous attempts. Both of my other versions have found homes so hopefully this one will too. This spot on the Shuswap inspires me. It is another of my happy places. Artist Susan Feniak. Golden acrylics on 16″ x 20″ box canvas painted on all sides. No frame needed. Based on a photo taken by me. $250.00
