Number 2

Simply put, Number 2 of my 2019 Christmas card line up. Yes it’s that time of year. Again. To get these done in time I have to start now. If not sooner. Cheers Susan

With Apologies

With apologies. It’s started. If I don’t start making Christmas cards they won’t get done. I know it isn’t even Halloween yet. No need to remind me of that fact. But a busy working person has to do what she can when she can. Here are the first of my 2019 crop.

Happy Birthday

A huge Happy Birthday wish to my dear husband, Carey. Was he surprised to get a birthday card with a hand painted dog from me? Hardly.

Autumn? All ready?

Another rainy day has me thinking about Autumn. It seems like yesterday I was planning days around sunshine and warmth. Swimming and boating. Lazy days relaxing by the lake. Now here I am planning how, where and when to put our summer toys away for another season. Pack up our belongings and winterize. Prepare for the cold snowy days and nights of Winter. Because that is what comes after Autumn. No wonder I don’t care for Autumn. It signals what is to come. Good thing there is a bright side. I love autumnal colors.

Arnie

Arnie is another one of my greeting cards available at Gallery One Fifty in Sicamous. The gallery is open on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Winter hours 10 a.m to 2 p.m. I will be there Saturday the 14th and the 21st this month. Arnie is on Strathmore 4″×6″ card stock. QoR watercolor and ink. And only $5.00. As are all my cards at the gallery.

“Albert”

Meet Albert. He is one of many cards I have made these past two days while hosting at Gallery One Fifty in Sicamous. There have been visitors which is a good thing. It’s nice to meet so many people from so many different places. Now it’s time sale one of my paintings. Wouldn’t that be nice?

Day 15 World Watercolor Month

Day 15 World Watercolor Month and the prompt is monochromatic. I decided to paint a great Blue Heron in a monochromatic foggy morning environment.

Day 14 World Watercolor Month

Day 14 World Watercolor Month. Today’s prompt Furry Thing. Why not a dancing doggy? His balloon and friend wriggles the worm wished someone I know a happy birthday.

Owl

Taking a cue from Charlie O’Shields of Doodlewash.com new nature sketching stuff activity book I did this owl. There are a lot of sketching and watercolor painting tips, ideas and activities in his book. It is good for any age young and even oldish like me. If you are an experienced artist or want to give art a chance for the first time, give this book a try. Charlie is right we were all born with the ability to draw, color and create art. Owl created by me, artist Susan Feniak. Watercolor and ink on Strathmore card stock.
