There are several December Birthdays at our house. Here is a sampling of the cards I made for those birthdays. Since I think of the person who is to receive my cards while I make them the creative process is very much enjoyed.
Revised “Clean Up Crew”

It was suggested that the waves were weak on the right so I improved them. I redefined the sky and added more birds for more interest. I think the lighting is improved on the sky, land and water near the land. Although she will most likely never see my efforts I would hope it holds her interest for longer the a few seconds. My first attempt at painting exclusively with a palette knife. Normally I don’t tackle abstract painting either. Asking a lot of myself with this one. I can’t decide if I like it or if it’s a hot mess. Probably because I don’t know much about absract. There is a lot of texture you probably can’t see. All this being said I rather enjoyed the experience. Golden artist colors on 18″ x 18″ box canvas.
