December Birthdays

There are several December Birthdays at our house. Here is a sampling of the cards I made for those birthdays. Since I think of the person who is to receive my cards while I make them the creative process is very much enjoyed.

Revised “Clean Up Crew”

After a critique I revised my painting “Clean Up Crew”. It was suggested that the waves were weak on the right so I improved them. I redefined the sky and added more birds for more interest. I think the lighting is improved on the sky, land and water near the land. Although she will most likely never see my efforts I would hope it holds her interest for longer the a few seconds. Enjoy your weekend friends. Cheers Susan

Hot Mess Or?

And now for something completely different. My first attempt at painting exclusively with a palette knife. Normally I don’t tackle abstract painting either. Asking a lot of myself with this one. I can’t decide if I like it or if it’s a hot mess. Probably because I don’t know much about absract. There is a lot of texture you probably can’t see. All this being said I rather enjoyed the experience. Golden artist colors on 18″ x 18″ box canvas.

Busy

I have been busy. Designing and painting Christmas cards. Yes it’s early but when one has to come up with 50+ it takes time. Good thing I really enjoy what I am doing. I am letting my imagination fly. Hope they make you smile. Artist Susan Feniak. Watercolour and ink on Strathmore card stock.

Designing Christmas Cards

Yes I know it’s early but these things take time. I have been designing this year’s Christmas cards. As per usual I am having fun. A Good thing. Hope they make you smile.

“Curly Sheep”

Curly in more ways then one! It’s hard to find the ears on these two.

Artist Susan Feniak. Watercolor and ink on paper.

“Where Old Boats Go”

Where do old boats really go? There are a few derelicts in every marina I am sure. Actually rather sad to see. Artist Susan Feniak. Watercolor and ink on paper.

Heron Gathering

Heron Gathering Artist Susan Feniak. Watercolor and ink on Strathmore paper. I don’t recall ever seeing a gathering of Great Blue Herons. The ones we see are loners. One has to assume they gather somewhere and sometime or there wouldn’t be anymore blue herons. Thinking out loud. Have a good week everyone.

“Pugsy”

Pugsy Artist Susan Feniak. Watercolor and ink on paper. Playing around with koi watercolor Gelly Roll white and Pigma Micron pens. Pugsy the painting is available at Gallery One Fifty in Sicamous. SOLD ☺

Out Picking Wild Flowers

Such a long title for a small painting. Artist Susan Feniak. Golden Artist Colors on 8″ × 8″ canvas board. Found these nice little canvases in a plain wood frame. I have painted the frame the same color as the bike. Wishing I had bought more of them. Happy Monday!
