I am fortunate to have a local business owner who is providing space for me to show and hopefully sale my “one of a kind” cards. I am grateful to April from “Willow” a ladies clothing store on Main Street in Sicamous. Several cards have sold so I got busy and made some more. The photos represent the new ones that I dropped off the other day and as far as I know are still available.

I have been busily filling an order for 10 “one of a kind” Christmas cards. So far the little mouse settling down for a long winter’s nap and the happy snowman are my favorite. I will be making more to sell at a local store, Rikki Lou Who’s Gift Emporium. It’s situated downtown Salmon Arm on Alexander St. It’s a Christmas card assembly line and my imagination gets to work overtime. I love it!

I enjoy creating my critters. These two “one of a kind” cards were dropped off at Rikki Lou Who’s Gift Emporium on Thursday. It’s a lovely shop on Alexander Street downtown Salmon Arm. The owner of the shop likes to carry unique gifts and she supports several local artists. I am grateful for the opportunity. Now if only I could find a venue for some of my bigger paintings.

I am still keeping busy creating my “one of a kind” greeting cards. Keeping things simple. Other than puttindg a coat of gesso on a 24″ x 24″ canvas I haven’t spent any time at my easel. Not since coming home from Mexico. I haven’t felt like it. I thought that I had lots of inspiration and was ready to get busy but as soon as I stand at my easel all is lost. Perhaps I have a bit of a block happening? On the other hand I am able to create these cards. A veritable plethora of them. I am having fun with them, they make me smile. That is sufficient, for now.

Having fun creating cards. Especially the dogs! The dogs are loosely based on works by artist Catherine Rayner. Most of my cards will eventually go to Rikki Lou Who’s Gift Emporium downtown Salmon Arm on Alexander St. and will be available for sale there. I am fortunate to have my art. Since I started painting in 2009 it’s always gotten me through the tuff times in life. This week I found solace once again. Like taking small steps everyday to move on I started with small things like cards. I then moved onto a bigger canvas.
