More “one of a kind”

I enjoy creating my critters. These two “one of a kind” cards were dropped off at Rikki Lou Who’s Gift Emporium on Thursday. It’s a lovely shop on Alexander Street downtown Salmon Arm. The owner of the shop likes to carry unique gifts and she supports several local artists. I am grateful for the opportunity. Now if only I could find a venue for some of my bigger paintings.

Here are a few of the cards that I have created lately. Cards seem to be the only art that I am interested in creating these days. I am not sure if I should be worried about that or not. But at least I am doing something creative. I suppose there has been a lot on my plate lately. I am positive that I will have the urge to splash paint on a bigger scale soon. In the meantime please enjoy these little treasures. Cheers Susan

Still keeping busy…

Jordon

I am still keeping busy creating my “one of a kind” greeting cards. Keeping things simple. Other than puttindg a coat of gesso on a 24″ x 24″ canvas I haven’t spent any time at my easel. Not since coming home from Mexico. I haven’t felt like it. I thought that I had lots of inspiration and was ready to get busy but as soon as I stand at my easel all is lost. Perhaps I have a bit of a block happening? On the other hand I am able to create these cards. A veritable plethora of them. I am having fun with them, they make me smile. That is sufficient, for now.

Belated happy Easter

Belated happy Easter! Theodore the Easter dog appeared on one of my card creations the otherday. I meant to post Theodore on all my social media sites but somehow missed my website. I hope he makes you smile. Another tortuga made an appearance and a frog enjoying the shelter provided by a magnolia. Can you tell I am still having fun creating my “one of a kind” greeting cards?

Designing new cards.

Upon arriving home from Mexico I discovered that many of my cards for sale at Rikki Lou Who’s Gift Emporium sold! How wonderful! Many thanks to those of you that have bought my cards and supported local business.

I have been busily creating new greeting cards. These seem to have a spring theme to them. What do you think?

I hope to spend time at my easel very soon.

Thank you for shopping local and supporting your local small business owners and artisans.

As always I hope my happy quirky critters make you smile.

Small art and a new venue…

Recently I have been trying to rebuild my small painting inventory. The first two paintings are 10″ x 10″ acrylic on canvas. Can you tell that I was having fun with my palette knives?

I am pleased to announce that my “one of a kind”, hand painted greeting cards are now available for sale at Rikki Lou Who’s Gift Emporium on Alexander Street downtown Salmon Arm BC. I would like to thank the owner, Rachele for the opportunity and for supporting local artists. There are several photos of my cards above. I dropped off 15 to see how they sell. Fingers crossed. I am excited and looking forward to coming up with some more fun ideas for my cards.

Floral Wave

Presenting to you my latest painting, “Floral Wave”! I don’t think any explanation is needed except for this is purely my imagination at work. Having fun splashing acrylics about. I hope you like this happy painting as much as I enjoyed creating it.

World Watercolor Month Days 21,22 and 23

Hello, I am still getting caught up posting my World Watercolor Month creations. This year I have decided not to follow the optional prompts and instead have been doing my own thing. I am however making cards again. With the exception of the birdie sitting on the daisy they are all greeting cards. I am having my usual fun coming up with ideas for this month long celebration of art.
