To achieve the texture on the starfish I used a thick layer of Goldens gel gloss.

It’s official my first painting of 2020 has a name. High And Dry. Between my Instagram, Facebook and WP site there was a tied vote. I ended up asking my husband which name he preferred Skiff’s at Low Tide or High and Dry. Thank you to all that took the time to cast their vote.

My first painting of 2020. As yet untitled. Perhaps you can help me name it. Which one do you like “Skiffs at Low Tide” or “High and Dry”? I am keeping this one for now. A birthday present for me by me. Spending time at my easel certainly helps me forget all the goings on in this world of ours. Everyone should try it! A friend gave me the antique frame a year or two ago and it’s taken me this long to decide what I wanted to create to put in the frame. The end result has added to my Christmas decor nicely. Three of my favorites Gretchen the giraffe , Sam the dog and “Why Me?” have all gone to a new home. This happened earlier in the month. They went with Trouble 2, Oh Oh 2 and Henrietta. They will all keep each other company. A good thing I have a lot of other favorites to keep me company.
