Happy Place

Play time is art time. A happy place is at the beach. Any beach. The happiest place of all? On our boat. I hope to be spending time on our happiest place of all soon. In the meantime I will paint a beach, any beach will do. Smiling. Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolor and ink 8″ x 10″ Fabriano paper.

Trouble?

Trouble? It’s no secret I love dogs. Apparently I also enjoy painting them. Creating their individuality and personality is fun. Their facial expressions and giving them that look of unquestioning adoration seems to come easily to me. Easier perhaps then capturing their human counterparts with brush and watercolour. I hope these three make you smile. Who wouldn’t smile it’s the first of May.

Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolor and ink on 5.5″ x 8.5″ Fabriano paper.

Cards

I have a greeting card assembly line happening these days. Fun to do and even more fun coming up with fresh ideas. There are more then these two. Mother’s Day is coming. Cheers Susan

News

Today I am pleased to show off my new business cards and postcards with my updated information on them. Also I was just informed that I now have 500 followers here at WP. Cause for celebration and in my world news worthy. Happy Friday everyone!

“Henry”

Yesterday I busied myself making cards for some upcoming summer art shows. Henry is one of those cards. Henry seems a bit worried. I wonder what he has been up to? It seems a shame to part with Henry. I might just have to keep him or share him with someone special. Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolor and ink on Strathmore card stock.

Twilight At The Narrows

Twilight At The Narrows. This is Brock point at Cinnemousun Narrows, Shuswap Lake. At a certain time of day and the perfect calm conditions Shuswap Lake really does glow with a golden aura. Like a jewel that it is. I have wanted to paint this scene for years. Capture it on canvas as a constant reminder of the beauty. I feel somewhat disappointed with this attempt. Perhaps it’s because I know from first hand experience what it’s like to witness Twilight At The Narrows. Acrylic on 16″ x 20″ box canvas framed.

Fin

Fin with the fuzzled muzzle has popped by to see how we are doing. Fin will get all the attention he needs with hugs and pats and treats popped into that fuzzled muzzle. Oops it’s only my imagination. Having a Fin in ones life would be ideal. Don’t you think?

A bit of fluff

A bit of whimsy today. Or is that fluff? Fluffy? Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolor and ink on Fabriano 8″ x 10″ paper. This kind of thing doesn’t help me to get my art recognized as “fine art” but I am having fun.

A progress report

This painting is in progress and taking me more time then what is normal. Other things have been causing distractions. Not only work but I have also upgraded my WordPress blog and created my own domain. Now when you visit my WordPress site you won’t be inundated with annoying advertising. My domain is called: susanfeniakart.com It is also a work in progress.
