“Spring Tulips”

Spring Tulips. Artist Susan Feniak. QoR Watercolor on Strathmore Vision paper. 9″ x 12″. Officially Spring begins around 3 p.m. today. These tulips are my homage to that momentous event. I hadn’t played with my watercolors for ages and it felt like I had become a tad rusty. I better find more time to practice. Unframed $30.

My Old Pond

My Old Pond. Artist Susan Feniak. Acrylic on 12″ x 12″ box canvas. My use of a palette knife gives this one a lot of texture. I felt like playing and it sure was fun.

The Turquoise Boat

I am pretty sure this is the smallest acrylic painting I have ever done. At 8 “× 8” it seems miniscule to me. But still I enjoyed painting. My inspiration was a photo found in Victoria magazine September 2018 issue. An idyllic setting or so it seems to me. Cheers Susan

Favourite Flowers

One of my favourite flowers are pink lily’s. Artist Susan Feniak. Windsor Newton Cotman Water Colours on Fabriano paper. 8″×10″.

Hydrangea

“Hydrangea” Artist Susan Feniak. Koi watercolour on Fabriano paper. Pixma ink and white Jellyroll. 8″×10″. Who doesn’t love a big beautiful hydrangea bloom?

Poppy Crazed

Recently I received a card from a dear friend. That card inspired me. It is a watercolor by “Kate Larsson Watercolors “,”Bold Poppies”. This is my spin on that card. Artist Susan Feniak. Windsor Newton Cotman Watercolors on Strathmore paper. 9″×12″ SOLD

It is my turn to be the featured artist at Gallery One Fifty in Sicamous BC. This is the display of my art. Thank you Gallery One Fifty! The gallery is on Finlayson Street and it’s open hours are Tuesday threw Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. I will be there this coming Thursday April 26th.

“Watering Time”

SOLD The working title for my latest painting is “Watering Time”. It is so new it is still drying on my easel. Artist Susan Feniak. Golden Artist Colors (acrylic) on 16″×20″ box canvas. I hope the flowers and scene make you think of warmer days ahead. Cheers Susan

Feverfew

I was trying for a delicate touch with these rather prolific garden flowers. Given half a chance Feverfew will take over a flower bed. Since they are pretty and make an excellent cut flower it’s not such a bad thing if you let them take over. Artist Susan Feniak.  Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors on Opus Finest Paper.  The last page of this sketch book. Perfect timing, new year, new book.

“Poppies” Sold

The recent sell of two paintings had me inspired yesterday.  I got into the zone and when done these poppies were the result and it was supper time. And no supper made! Perhaps I should name the painting my escape.

Original art by Susan Feniak. Acrylic on box canvas. 18″×18″
