A busy weekend working on assorted projects aboard our boat but I still managed to sneak in art time. Thankful for a thoughtful husband who let’s me be me. I know it has a Latin name and there are several species. It reminds me of thistles that I have painted on several occasions. I love all the pointy jagged bits. It’s no secret I love dogs. Apparently I also enjoy painting them. Creating their individuality and personality is fun. Their facial expressions and giving them that look of unquestioning adoration seems to come easily to me. Easier perhaps then capturing their human counterparts with brush and watercolour. I hope these three make you smile. Who wouldn’t smile it’s the first of May.

These two paintings of mine are now at the lovely store “Explore Decor” here in Sicamous. Thank you to Diane the owner of Explore Decor for taking part in the annual Sicamous Art Walk and making space for my art. Artist Susan Feniak. Both paintings are watercolors on paper, varnished, framed and waiting for a new home.
