SOLD Yesterday I busied myself making cards to display and hopefully sale this summer at Three Buoys Marina in Sicamous. Sea dog is one of them. At our marina dogs and boats belong together. Fondly referred to as boater dogs. That being said this fella should be called lake dog. Lake or sea the water is the place to be for me. Boating season begins this weekend. Hooray!

I know it has a Latin name and there are several species. It reminds me of thistles that I have painted on several occasions. I love all the pointy jagged bits. It’s no secret I love dogs. Apparently I also enjoy painting them. Creating their individuality and personality is fun. Their facial expressions and giving them that look of unquestioning adoration seems to come easily to me. Easier perhaps then capturing their human counterparts with brush and watercolour. I hope these three make you smile. Who wouldn’t smile it’s the first of May.
